Anchors Wharf was converted to a restaurant from two boat sheds in 1997. Curiously, the boat sheds were called Do-me 1 and Do-me 2. So named because the original owner took on the first shed and declared, “This’ll do me!” and later added another and said, “This’ll do me too!”.
Over the years, Stephen and Denise have worked diligently to create an iconic seafood venue that has become much loved by locals and visitors alike. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, fresh seafood and beautifully prepared classics, Anchors Wharf draws in satisfied customers from miles around. Today’s Anchors Wharf is an exciting reincarnation after a fire gutted the building in 2021.
