With 30 years of experience and training with top chefs in Singapore and Malaysia, he brings a unique blend of modern Asian cuisine to our seafood dishes. Committed to sourcing only the freshest seafood and elevating it through his dishes, Leon and his team offer an unparalleled dining experience.
Our History
Anchors Wharf was converted to a restaurant from two boat sheds in 1997. Curiously, the boat sheds were called Do-me 1 and Do-me 2. So named because the original owner took on the first shed and declared, “This’ll do me!” and later added another and said, “This’ll do me too!”.
Over the years, Stephen and Denise have worked diligently to create an iconic seafood venue that has become much loved by locals and visitors alike. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, fresh seafood and beautifully prepared classics, Anchors Wharf draws in satisfied customers from miles around. Today’s Anchors Wharf is an exciting reincarnation after a fire gutted the building in 2021.

Had such a great experience here today, thank you! Lunch was delicious, service was lovely and overall a top notch place. I appreciate how many non-alcoholic drinks you have available. I can highly recommend the Ferrero Rocher chocolate cake to finish off! 😋

We arrived as the sun was setting which created such a stunning backdrop for pre dinner drinks and set the tone for our evening. The food and service was impeccable, the portion sizes are big so go with an appetite and the ability to be able to choose from a extensive and delicious 😋 menu.

Dropped in one morning for coffee and a muffin and another day for a light lunch with our well-behaved fur baby. Sat outside on the grass under an umbrella watching the river scenes and boats float by. Delicious and fresh sushi was excellent. 🤗👌

What a gem! We had breakfast here two mornings during our stay in Urunga. All the staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive and the meals and coffee were delicious. The position right on the river was fantastic. Enjoying breakfast taking in the surrounding water was a beautiful start to the morning. Thank you for to everyone for such a great experience both mornings. Highly recommend.

Someone from coffs harbour did recommend the restaurant, it definitely didn't disappoint. The portion size was big for the value & it tasted delicious. The view & atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. I would definitely go back if we're back in the area.

Wow, nice cafe on the water, great coffee and had the most delicious breakfast. Recommend the breaky burger! Will have to come back for morning tea as there's a great range of cakes. Very peaceful, located on the river with the occasional boat passing by, they have a hire boat out front as well.

This restaurant just has to be one of the best in Coffs Harbour. The menu and food is absolutely fantastic. The service is exceptional!!If you haven't been there, then you would have to make it a priority to do so!!We had a fantastic evening listening to tenor group Tenori. Do not miss this event when they come back to perform at the Anchor 's Wharf.

Incredible experience with exceptional customer service and high quality food. I had visitors from interstate and took them to my favourite restaurant- Anchors Wharf - for dinner. They had such an amazing experience they asked to go back for lunch the next day before they left to return to their home. We can talk highly enough about all elements of the restaurant. Outstanding in all aspects. Thank you everyone there for the joy and incredible atmosphere you create that is complimented by tantalising and high quality food in an exceptional location ❤️

Have wanted to get in here for a meal for some time, and tonight I was at loose end on my own, so headed down to try it out.From the moment I walked in, it was amazing. Warmly welcomed and seated with menus. As a chef (now retired) I thought the oysters extravaganza sounded way too weird not to try (avocado on oysters?) - so started with them. They were absolutely delicious. Followed this up with a perfectly cooked, tender scotch fillet. Probably the tastiest meal I’ve had in the region in many meals.The staff were attentive, responsive and really friendly without being over bearing - just perfectly hospitable. I couldn’t fault a single thing with the meal or service. Well worth it, and I’ll certainly be back now I’ve tried it, to keep ploughing through the menu.Well done to all - amazing work.

This little restaurant on the river delivers a top notch delightful experience. The staff are super friendly and funny. We ate the seafood platter which was fresh and delicious and the cocktails were made to perfection. We will definitely be dropping in again on our next trip to Urunga.
